SQL is a very powerful language for accessing and manipulating data in your DB2 for i databases. In this full-day session, you will learn how to use advanced SQL features to reduce your application development time and boost performance. This seminar promises to be an exciting deep dive into SQL for experienced SQL users.

For this One-Day Seminar, we've asked renowned subject matter expert Birgitta Hauser to come and deliver four (possibly five) sessions on Advanced SQL that are highly relevant in today's IBM i world.

Our sessions will include:

  • Generate XML Documents with SQL (SQL and XML – Part 1)
  • Consume XML Documents and Web Services with SQL (SQL and XML – Part2)
  • Create or Replace … DDS Files with DDL Objects
  • Group By, Having and multi-dimensional Grouping
This seminar is being held on Friday, October 6. This is early in the month for us, but it's just after the end of the COMMON Fall Conference & Expo, which is being held earlier that same week in St. Louis. Birgitta will be speaking at multiple sessions at that Conference, then join us for our Seminar.

Birgitta Hauser is a software and database engineer focusing on RPG, SQL, and web development on IBM i. She’s also a trainer for RPG and SQL developers. She frequently speaks at COMMON and other conferences and is the author of two IBM Redbooks.

The cost for attendance at this seminar is $100 for MMSA members, and $150 for non-members. Breakfast and lunch will be served, as well as coffee and snacks at the morning and afternoon breaks. Seating is limited, so sign up early!

We can't wait to see you there!
